This is my first ever website interface that I have designed for a client in a professional setting. The aim of the website was to convey the seriousness of the issue and showcase the website as a public platform that facilitates interaction and conversations. The trickiness of this design was definitely balancing the seriousness of the issue whilst still incorporating the vibrant colours of the logo and style guide.

What did I learn?

In this design, I learnt to have a reason behind every element implemented on the page with a nod to client through weaving the brand colours throughout the design. I learnt about using images intentionally and incorporating only elements that have a purpose in the design. I learnt about keeping the consistency between each element, as well as best web practices such as using no more than three fonts, using either sans serif or serif fonts, and using fonts that match the tone. I learnt how to break up content heavy sections with images and quotes.
